Money, sailing and challenges

Making money online is a big dream. I’m reading forums like DP and all these youngsters doing a lot of money at early ages. I’ve to admit I’m pretty impressed and thinking they’re really lucky.

When I was 14, back in 1984, there was no internet and SEO! We had to run around delivering newspaper in all kind of weather, and have other jobs if possible. So, my first thought is where would I be today if I had these opportunities at the age of 14!?!

Okey, have to face the fact that I’m not 14, but have equal possibilities to do internet business as any 14 year old today! And, maybe my life experience will help me being a step ahead of others.

Why online business?
I think we all dream about having millions of dollars, euro, kroner or what ever it is called as long it make us rich! But, is money the only motivating factor?

Not for me! I like to be challenged and I like to explore new things. And, I have a dream of sailing around the world and running my business primarly from the sailyacht. I’ve already picked the boat, but not ordered it! An Oceanis from Benetau between 46 and 50 feets is the sailyacht I really want.
This is motivating me!

So, now I’m motivated, but how to make money!?! I have some websites with editorial content and updating them as often I can. The only challenge is that they are directed against my homecountry Norway. And, Norway is a small country with about 4,7 million habitants totally. It’s too small market if you’re not being real big! And to be big in such a small market you have to have real financial power. And, right now I’m not a millionaire and can’t put a lot of money into these businesses to make it as big as I want to.

I’m now looking to the englishspeaking market - who includes all of the world - more or less. For me personally that’s exciting and challenging. New markets and have to improve my english a little more.
My blog is my first real big step towards writing for the english speaking market, and other projects coming up.

Most of my norwegian sites is sportsrelated. I’ll get back to these at a later point in my blog! I do also run som local news-sites and magazines.
